Small Group Week 4 Notes and Questions

NOTES

The moment someone becomes a Christ follower their connectedness with non-Christians shrinks dramatically.

Evangelism Definition = Sharing your story

Your story can follow this progression... who you were, who you are now, and the transition.

Group Tension exists between fellowship and evangelism
Fellowship grows with more time spent together with few people
Evangelism involves opening up for more people to come in

Matthew 5:14-15

You are the light of the world like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket... Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.

3 steps to start sharing your story
1. Crawling - Sharing your story with your small group.
  a. What was your life was like before Christ?
  b. What was your life like getting to know Christ?
  c. What is your life like after knowing Christ?
  d. Or, where are you now?
2. Walking - Invite non-Christians to hang out with you. Create relationship.
3. Running - Share your story with the same non-Christians you have hung out with. Hear their story first.
