About Pastor Alex Norton

I joined Harbor Light Community Chapel in 2021 as the Community Life Pastor.

Prior to Harbor Light Community Chapel, I was the co-Major (Corps Officer/co-pastor with my wife Aimee) at The Salvation Army overseeing for 22 years churches in Escanaba Mi, Princeton IN, Richmond IN, Connersville IN, Lansing Mi, DeKalb IL, The Salvation Army School for Officers Training Chicago. During my tenure at The Salvation Army, I led the church in evangelizing, church planting, disaster relief, worship, preaching, Christian education, food pantries, homeless shelters, thrift stores, homeless work on the streets of Chicago, fundraising, media outreach, church growth, and discipleship.

I am a graduate of Nazarene Bible College, where I majored in Bachelor of Arts in Ministry with an emphasis in Theology. I live in Cheboygan, Michigan, with my beautiful wife, Aimee of 26 years, and my son Carson 18. When I'm not keeping busy with ministry, you can find me geeking on Star Wars.

Over my years of work, I've operated for companies such as Lexalite International, Ferguson Plumbing, and Burger King (Which was a summer job that I met my wife in High School).

Since joining Harbor Light Community Chapel, the most rewarding part has been rekindling my long history with this church family, followed closely by my love for what God is doing in our midst.

My approach to Community Life Pastor is primarily inspired by Acts 2:43-47, which you'll find reflected in my mission and purpose.

If you're looking for someone to talk to about discipleship, reach out via email: anorton@harborlight.org

As the Community Life Pastor at Harbor Light Community Chapel, I am responsible for preaching, teaching, discipleship, and small group life. Harbor Light's mission is to "Know God more deeply, find lasting freedom, discover your destiny, make an eternal difference," which I support 110%.

As a graduate of Harbor Christian School in 92,' I have a profound understanding of how this church truly lives out the meaning of our mission statement. Thirty years later, I am a testimony of their faithfulness.

It is truly a great honor and privilege to come back home and serve the ministry and people that have invested so much into my faith journey.
